L.O.E (Last of Eden) Releases New Single "A New Consciousness" | New EP Out August 29

New booking agency partnership announced with Atonal Music Agency

JULY 2025 – Post-rock collective L.O.E (Last of Eden) returns with their powerful new single A New Consciousness, the lead track from their upcoming EP set for release on August 29, alongside a set of UK dates in August to support the launch.

The Halifax (UK) quartet also proudly announces a new partnership with Atonal Music Agency, marking an exciting new chapter in their live journey. Their first announcement under this partnership is the promotion of their album launch concert on November 7 at The Dome in London. The show will feature performances by EF and Overhead, The Albatross, and is presented in collaboration with the esteemed Portals Festival.

Following the critically acclaimed I Was Not Magnificent EP — which sold out its collector’s vinyl within just a few days — L.O.E solidified their place in the post-rock scene. The single reached #1 in Prog Magazine’s Tracks of the Week, and the release was widely featured by major post-rock outlets including WherePostRockDwells, Post-Rock Community, and WorldHasPostRock.

Musically, A New Consciousness reflects an internal shift. It starts with a sense of tension and dissonance, mirroring the struggle that often comes with personal growth and change. But as the song progresses, the music becomes more expansive, more uplifting — symbolising the release of old patterns and the opening up of new possibilities. This shift mirrors the process of overcoming adversity, such as illness, and emerging on the other side with a renewed sense of clarity and strength.

The track features a spoken-word passage from legendary astronomer Carl Sagan, whose teachings on the “cosmic perspective” — as the band notes — "encourage us to look beyond the limitations of our everyday thoughts and see ourselves as part of something much greater. His words remind us that when we step back and broaden our view, we can see the interconnectedness of all things — and with that awareness comes the possibility for profound personal transformation. Sagan’s message is clear: a shift in consciousness is the key to unlocking a greater sense of purpose, understanding, and connection."

At its core, “A New Consciousness” is about the power of that realisation. It’s a reminder that we are not just victims of circumstance, but active participants in shaping our own reality.
